Theophany 78: Idols in the Heart — When We Seek God Without Surrendering to Him
The false prophets of Ezekiel 13 promised peace when judgment was approaching. They built whitewashed walls that looked strong but could not withstand the storm of God's judgment.
In Ezekiel 14, the focus shifts from the false prophets to the people themselves. A delegation of Israel's elders comes to Ezekiel seeking a word from the Lord. Outwardly, they appear sincere. They are willing to consult God's prophet. Yet God immediately exposes what no human eye can see.

Jesus Speaks to His Churches (7): Laodicea — Lukewarm Faith and the Savior at the Door
Among all seven churches, Laodicea receives the most searching rebuke. Unlike Smyrna and Philadelphia, there is no word of commendation. Jesus exposes a church that appeared prosperous and successful but had become spiritually indifferent. Yet even here, His words are not merely a condemnation. They are an appeal of love. The Savior who rebukes is also the Savior who stands at the door and knocks.

Jesus Speaks to His Churches (5): Sardis — A Reputation for Life, But Spiritually Asleep
The church in Sardis was impressive on the outside.
It had a reputation. People knew its name. It appeared active, successful, and alive.
Yet when the risen Christ examined the church, He saw something very different.
"I know your works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead." (Revelation 3:1)
This is one of the most sobering messages in all the letters to the seven churches. Sardis receives almost no commendation. The problem complacency.

Theophany (72) — Lifted Between Earth and Heaven: Idolatry in the Temple
The visions granted to Ezekiel now move deeper into the heart of Israel’s spiritual crisis.
What began beside the river Chebar now carries the prophet into Jerusalem itself.
The Lord will no longer merely announce judgment — He will reveal why judgment must come.
Ezekiel is about to see what ordinary eyes could not see.
He will be lifted “between the earth and the heaven” and shown the hidden sins concealed beneath outward religion.
