Dear Friends,
As we enter June, we thank God for His faithfulness through another month of study, reflection, and fellowship.
May brought us deeper into the Scriptures through Ezekiel, 1 Corinthians, and Revelation, while we continued our journeys through The Pilgrim's Progress, Paradise Lost, and the lives of faithful men and women from church history.
June promises to be an exciting month as several of our ongoing series reach important milestones and new journeys begin.
Coming in June
Sunday Morning Bible Study
We continue our verse-by-verse study of 1 Corinthians, moving into chapters 11 and 12. Paul addresses worship, the Lord's Supper, spiritual gifts, and the unity of Christ's body—subjects that remain deeply relevant for the Church today.
Theophany: Ezekiel's Visions
Our journey through Ezekiel advances into some of the prophet's most sobering and powerful revelations. Having witnessed the reasons for God's judgment, we now see more clearly God's purpose in redemption and restoration.
As Ezekiel draws to a close, the Theophany series will continue into the book of Daniel, where visions of earthly kingdoms and God's eternal kingdom reveal His sovereign rule over history.
Jesus Speaks to His Churches
In our Saturday series through the seven churches of Revelation, we arrive at Sardis, the church that appeared alive but was spiritually asleep. Christ's warning and call to wakefulness remain relevant to every generation of believers.
When we complete Christ's letters to the seven churches, we will continue through the remainder of Revelation, exploring the visions, judgments, and promises of the Bible's final book two chapters at a time until we reach its glorious conclusion.
And when Revelation is complete, we will begin a new journey through the Historical Books of the Old Testament, starting with Joshua and tracing God's dealings with His covenant people through the great events and personalities of Israel's history.
The Pilgrim's Progress
This month, we complete Part I of Bunyan's beloved classic as Christian's pilgrimage reaches its destination.
But the journey does not end there. We will then begin Part II, following Christina, Mercy, and the children as they undertake their own pilgrimage to the Celestial City. Many readers are surprised to discover this second part, which offers its own treasures of encouragement and insight.
Poetry Tuesday: Paradise Lost
Our exploration of Milton's epic continues as the consequences of humanity's fall unfold through some of the greatest poetry in the English language.
When Paradise Lost concludes, we will continue with Milton's shorter companion work, Paradise Regained, which turns our attention from humanity's fall to Christ's victory.
Mothers Who Mattered
This month, we conclude our series on remarkable mothers whose faith helped shape the biblical story.
As one series ends, another will soon begin. We are considering a study of notable unmarried men and women in Scripture whose lives demonstrate faithful service to God and whose examples still encourage believers today.
Francis Schaeffer: Truth for a Modern World
Beginning this month, we launch a new Wednesday series introducing the thought and ministry of Francis Schaeffer.
In an age of confusion about truth, beauty, culture, and faith, Schaeffer's insights remain remarkably relevant. Whether you are familiar with his work or discovering him for the first time, we hope this series will prove both challenging and encouraging.
Looking ahead, we also anticipate exploring the life and ministry of John Stott, one of the most influential evangelical leaders of the twentieth century.
A Word of Encouragement
The summer months often bring changes in routine, travel, and family activities. Yet God's Word remains our daily bread.
We encourage you not merely to read our articles, but to open your Bible alongside them, testing all things by Scripture and seeking Christ in every page. Our goal has never been simply to provide information, but to help believers know, love, and follow the Lord more faithfully.
As the apostle Paul reminds us:
"Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain." (1 Corinthians 15:58)
Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting the ministry of KENKALIS.COM. We are grateful for each of you and pray that these studies continue to strengthen your walk with Christ.
Grace and peace,
