For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” — Hebrews 11 : 10

All of us are looking for a city — a place where faith, purpose, and belonging finally meet.

My own search began in the pews of Emmanuel Pentecostal Church in Elizabeth, New Jerse

y, and took me through the classrooms of Rutgers, the streets of Newark, and the theatres of Albany. It was a long journey from certainty to confusion and back again — the story of a young man who tried the ways of the world but could never quite forget the call of Heaven.

Along the way, I met teachers, friends, and mentors who shaped me, even when they did not know they were doing God’s work. Some lessons came through success; others through wrecked cars, restless nights, and whispered prayers.

But in every season, the same question echoed — “So what?” — until grace finally answered it.

The world around us keeps shifting its foundations, but the promise of Hebrews 11 remains unshaken. We are pilgrims, still looking for that city whose builder and maker is God.
