A Letter to Our Readers — July 1,2026: Liberty, Faith, and Hope: Walking Together

Dear Friends,

As we turn the calendar from June to July, I'd like to pause for a moment—not to teach another Bible lesson, but simply to thank

you.

Thank you for walking with me through another month of exploring God's Word, Christian history, and the rich heritage of the Christian faith. Every visit, every encouraging note, every prayer, and every conversation reminds me that this ministry is a journey we share together.

June has been a particularly rewarding month.

Together we continued our Sunday Morning Bible Study through 2 Corinthians, discovering God's comfort in suffering and the surpassing glory of the New Covenant in Christ.

Our Theophany series carried us deeper into the visions of Ezekiel, reminding us that God searches the heart, judges idolatry, and calls His people to wholehearted devotion.

We completed our journey through John Milton's Paradise Regained, following our Lord's triumph over temptation in the wilderness and seeing the Second Adam succeed where the first Adam failed.

We also continued following Christiana and her family in The Pilgrim's Progress II, discovering that God's grace calls not only individuals but entire households to begin the pilgrimage toward the Celestial City.

Our study of The Revelation of Jesus Christ continued with the opening of the seven seals and the glorious vision of the great multitude standing before the throne, clothed in white robes and praising the Lamb.

This month also brought the conclusion of our six-part series on Francis Schaeffer.

His thoughtful analysis of modern culture challenged us to think carefully about truth, the Christian worldview, and how believers are called to live faithfully in an increasingly fragmented society.

One of the greatest encouragements I have received recently came from readers who told me that these studies helped them understand the Bible more clearly. Even more wonderfully, two people have recently come to faith in Jesus Christ.

There is no greater joy than seeing God use His Word to draw people to Himself.

As Jesus said:

"Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth."— Luke 15:10

To God alone be the glory.

Looking Ahead to July

July is always a month that reminds Americans of the blessings and responsibilities of liberty.

This year those reflections carry special significance as our nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

As Christians, we thank God for the freedoms we have enjoyed and for those who sacrificed to secure them. At the same time, we remember that our ultimate citizenship is not found in any earthly nation but in the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

"For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ."— Philippians 3:20

That perspective will guide everything we publish during the month ahead.

A New Series Begins: God at Work in History

With the completion of our Francis Schaeffer series, Wednesday will introduce a brand-new journey:

God at Work in History: A Journey Through the Historical Books of the Bible

Beginning with Joshua, we will trace God's faithful hand through Israel's entrance into the Promised Land and continue through Judges, Ruth, Samuel, Kings, Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther.

These books are far more than ancient history. They reveal God's covenant faithfulness across the centuries and continually point us toward Jesus Christ, the greater Joshua, who leads His people into their eternal inheritance.

I hope this becomes one of the cornerstone series of KENKALIS.COM.

Poetry Tuesday Begins a New Journey

With Paradise Regained now complete, Poetry Tuesday begins a new chapter by exploring the Christian poetry of T. S. Eliot.

We will begin with the remarkable story of Eliot's life and his conversion to Christianity before reading together some of his most enduring Christian poems.

His writings speak with unusual power to a modern world searching for meaning, reminding us that Christ remains the answer to every generation.

Continuing Through God's Word

July will also bring:

Continued Sunday Morning Bible Study through Paul's Second Letter to the Corinthians.
Continued exploration of Ezekiel in our Theophany series.
The next stages of Christiana's pilgrimage in The Pilgrim's Progress.
Continued study of The Revelation of Jesus Christ.

Each series has its own emphasis, yet together they tell one great story—the story of God's redeeming work through Jesus Christ.
