Last week, we stood with Isaiah before the throne. “I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.” The King was there. The temple was filled. The glory was overwhelming. Now, as the vision continues, Isaiah lifts his eyes and sees those who stand nearest to that throne. “Above it stood the seraphims…”— Isaiah 6:2

In Amos, the Lord stood in judgment. In Isaiah, the prophet sees the Lord in majesty. This is one of the great vision passages in all the Bible: “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.” — Isaiah 6:1
